Hi I’m Cathy, an early years educator and mother of two boys 10 and 16. Over the past 16 years I have raised my family seeking to understand more about their individual sensory needs. Earlier in my career I taught in schools and then chose to teach Kindy in an Early Learning Centre. This is where my love of early years play began.
Did you know you can access sibling discounts through my bookings page?
I offer two main age groups, – babies and toddlers up to 2 and children aged 2-3.5 years. I do this to ensure more activities are aimed at their developmental milestones. However all messy play is open ended and siblings are welcomed to be booked together.
Grab your camera and be ready to share in the delight when your little one is exploring the activities. It’s play time with the emphasis on following your child’s lead, there are different fun experiences each week. These consist of messy creative play, dry activities, fine motor skills, dancing and cognitive activities too. Children will explore, letters, shapes numbers and so much more through their hands on learning and play in the class. Our characters Lionel, Ziggy, Archie and Swirlo make each week a different learning adventure.
Click on the booking page and join us in our casual classes or short half term program and experience the fun learning environment at Little Messy Learners Wanneroo – Joondalup – Butler.
Cant make the class times?
I also offer parties and playgroup events starting from $80.
I host play classes with activities to encourage young children to explore, and extend on their physical, fine motor and cognitive development alongside their parents and caregivers.
In our under 2’s, I focus on hand eye co-ordination, grasping tools and the pure enjoyment of messy play with spontaneous music and movement. Parents play a large role in children’s play. They can enhance their child’s brain connections with language describing the actions linked to the mark of the week. Did you know the brain develops rapidly in the first 5 years?
In the toddlers and preschoolers sessions, children improve their fine motor grip through using arm and hand muscles in their whole body play. Extending on arts and crafts, we offer the use of tools such as scissors, glue, brushes, textas, chalk, and paint to express themselves. We also focus on fine motor skills and cognitive skill development too. This is through construction, puzzles, sorting, counting and our introductory mat session where we learn about the movement to make the mark of the week.
Did you know we also offer children’s parties?
Why not get your group together for some spontaneous fun. Check out our party options below!
This package can be used for home daycares, mothers groups, birthday parties, playgroups, and so much more.
When you split $80 between PLAYGROUP members and friends, it is an absolute BARGAIN! This is also great for developing fine motor skills for young children in school programs and pre-kindy groups.
The best thing is: I set it up, YOUR CHILDREN PLAY, LEARN, EXPLORE AND HAVE FUN! I do all the clean up, so you can get on with other important jobs like fruit time!
Plus there are extra add-ons for Birthday parties, including: birthday present and party bags, a cupcake smash tray, and dancing scarves with parachute play. I look forward to hearing from you and planning your party and event needs together. You can reach me on Facebook or at: firstname.lastname@example.org
