Anzac Day Poppies

Blog
23/04/2020

A simple little Anzac Day craft to make some poppies at home. I printed these on red paper, however you could easily let children color and decorate them as an extra step. It’s a great activity to to practice little ones scissor skills, cutting arch shapes of the circles and straight lines for the fringing of the inner circle. The template is attached below, all you will need a few staples and and some glue to pop it all together.

  • Step 1 Print the template and cut out. You will need four petals and two circles for each poppy.
  • Step 2 Cut the split in the petal and staple the two sides together.

  • Step 3 Glue the four petals together. After this is done take one circle and glue it on top.

  • Step 4 Cut some straight lines around the second circle, fluff up and bend in you lines a little, then glue that circle on top of the first.
